The Alpha 100 handheld device is a Dog tracker’s best friend. Designed with a glove-friendly color 3” 240 x 400-pixel touchscreen that is sunlight readable, this waterproof rugged unit will get and keep you on the right track with ease. A built-in lithium battery can keep you moving up to 20 hours before you recharge it, and is waterproof to IPX 7 so it can withstand the elements rain or shine. A high sensitivity GPS receiver and 100K TOPO maps will display trails, contour elevations, wilderness areas, and much more for the U.S. The Alpha 100 lets you track, train up to 20 dogs simultaneously. Right from the compass screen, you will be able to see the direction dogs are moving as well as each dogs individual speed. Keep them safe by setting up virtual boundaries, also known as a Geofence which alerts you when they roam out of that boundary so you can correct their direction of motion. There are 18 levels of stimulation, which can be momentary or continuous and are controlled by the user.
Garmin considered all the features that most outdoor enthusiasts would want- an electronic compass, barometric altimeter sensor and 8GB internal memory. Expand your mapping capabilities and level of detail with optional Garmin City Navigator, Garmin 24K Topo Maps, or Garmin HuntView Plus Maps (sold separately).

Birdseye satellite imagery is a download that lets you see an aerial view of your location after you download areas you may want to hunt or set a tree stand.
